Cali Cricket Club practice May 29 2011

Because of the final of the Champions League on Saturday, our practice moved to a beautifully sunny Sunday morning. Thos that celebrated or commiserated on the saturday did not make it. They were sorely   no pun intended) missed.. The new CCC uniforms were handed out to those that were present and reservations were taken to next weekend´s festivities.

Andy, one of our master batsmen and bowlers with our new cricket shirt with the brand new logo. Very handsome indeed!!

Great turnout for a Sunday morning.

Our lastest addition from Santa Rosa de Cabal, our good friend Thomas Moffatt´s wife Viviana,

Sunny? YES! Dry? YES! Fun? YES!

Cali Cricket Club practice May 21

A long and arduous training session was had by all today in Pance under the tutalage of Dennis Jarvis and Tony Carter. Worthwhile preparations if we are going to win against the Bogota Sports Club!! Long lost members reappeared today. Welcome back Michael Wood!! And thanks for the many members of the fairer sex that accompany us playing a game they may have difficulty understanding. Thank you!! Would not be the same without you.

Now that´s a terrific winning group!!!

Welcome back Michael Wood. Don´t stay away so long.

International Food Festival 2011

Held every year the day before Mother´s Day in Jardin Plaza Shopping Center in the passages outside Carrefour, many Brits were present helping the British Community Food Stand. Curried Chicken (both spicy and not), scones, trifles, apple pies and lots of other home made delicacies flew off the shelves just at the delicious smell. And was it HOT which helped to sell a great deal of cold beer and iced tea. 15 countries were represented, most wearing their national dress. Quite a spectacle!!

Tremendous crowds visiting the many stands to raise money for charity.
The architects of the British Stand, Catalina Valenzuela, Olga Lucia Villa and Nana Holguin.

Janet Jarvis and Paul Horstead managing the sweets and pastry corner of the stand
Three generations of Martins. Peter, Paola and Samuel (and one on the way for later this month)

Cali Cricket Club Match April 30 2011

We gathered for a wonderfully sunny afternoon of cricket at the Colegio Colombo Britanico in Pance under the tutelage of Dennis Jarvis and Tony Carter. Fielding practice was essential to prepare for the BIG match against the Bogota Sports Club on the first weekend in June. Everybody batted and most bowled and we now have the makings of a very acceptable team.

A very respectable turnout of cricketers and support team, Even a new born was introduced to us.

Way to go Raj! You put some excitement into the team.

Who is this very tall skinny Irish lad that has not appeared for over four years at the cricket? Well it´s Peter, no less!!

A wonderful couple with their new addition!! Congratulations to you both!!!

Tony loves to spin them down the pitch!!
